I chose this hotel for attending a leadership summit and Hotel Zara turned out to be the perfect choice. It is a friendly, family-run 3-star hotel managed by a family with deep roots in the hotel business. The facilities were well-maintained and I had a pleasant experience during my stay.
The only service that I missed for my work was a dedicated business center or a well-equipped meeting room. Other than that, everything else was satisfactory.

I liked the location - you can walk to all the sights, except the Vatican (although it is not more than 30 minutes). The hotel is also a 10-minute walk from Roma Termini Station. Very convenient if you travel to other cities (for example, Florence). And another plus is that the hotel is not located close to Via Nazionale (but a few buildings), so when the windows are open at night the noise was acceptable and slept very well. And I liked the very nice, large supermarket nearby, where you can buy everything from ready meals, fruits, bread, sausages with cheese and toiletries.
Didn't like the hair dryer - apparently, it was still in Roman times))) looks like a trunk with a hole at the end, turns on when pulling away at a certain angle, blows weakly, there are no modes, and suddenly turns off with a slight turn. So if it's important for you to have a hair dryer, take it with you! Very poor breakfast for 5 euros. No eggs, sausages, fruit, just one kind of cheese, small portions of coffee. It is better to have breakfast in the room (good, there is a fridge) or somewhere in a cafe. Also, if you suddenly want to stay in your room until lunch, so that you do not have to worry, the room will not be cleaned, because the maid works until 14.00. There is no "not to disturb" sign - you will have to call the reception with this request.

Spanish Steps near to the hotel. Ristorante Berzitello was set 5 minutes walk away. Within walking distance everything, because of a subway station in the vicinity.

We had a wonderful stay at Zara. the staff was gracious, friendly, and very informative. They spoke excellent English and made our stay pleasant. the hotel's central location allowed us to walk everywhere, including the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and Piazza Navona. It was also conveniently close to Termini Station, making it easy to reach the airport. the lobby and hallways had a nice style, and the breakfast was good. highly recommended!
All was good 🙂

Great central location....easy walking distance to most of the main touristic sights.
Room was a bit small and walls are thin.

Stayed at Zara hotel on May 7, 2011. As a woman traveling alone, this family owned hotel made me feel safe and comfortable. The hotel was old, but well kept, clean, friendly staff and in an excellent location. No safe available but my room had a space I could lock above the closet. All personnel were friendly and the desk provided me with a great map and ideas where to go as soon as I arrived. Good breakfast included. Definitely recommend/stay again. Take Leonardo Express from Airport for 14 Euro and it is 11 minute walk from Roma Termini. I passed by other similarly priced hotels I thought of staying at and was glad I chose this.
Hotel was old but this is typical for Central Rome. It is a very old city. Shower in bathroom wet entire floor, although a negative, everything else far outweighed this little inconvenience. For Rome it is a good value.

The hotel is in a prime location, close to the central station and within walking distance of popular attractions like the Colosseum and Pantheon. the free wifi was excellent, and having a mini fridge in the room was a bonus, especially with a supermarket nearby. the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome as foreign tourists.
Felt like part of the family; no reason to complain.

The hotel was very centrally located, allowing us a great access point to the city center and main attractions. We enjoyed excellent views of the city from some of the rooms. Some room features we appreciated included air conditioning, mini-fridges, and reliable Wi-Fi. Although breakfast was not included, we found many affordable restaurants and a supermarket nearby. the location was very convenient with good connections to the metro and train station.
The elevator was slow and unreliable.

Good value for money - friendly and helpful multi lingual staff - great location near Termini railway station and on bus routes. The continental breakfast was fine; maybe the coffee could have been hotter, but, so what - plenty places for hot coffee outside. The white registered taxis are also good value.

I chose this hotel for attending a conference and it turned out to be a great choice. The hotel is managed by a friendly, family-run team with deep roots in the hotel business. The facilities were well-maintained and provided a comfortable stay during my work trip.
The only service that I missed for my work was a dedicated business center. It would have been helpful to have a designated space with computers and printers for guests to use for work purposes.
